Xabi Alonso Poised to Succeed Ancelotti as Real Madrid's Future Manager

Xabi Alonso is being strongly considered as the top candidate to replace Carlo Ancelotti when he eventually leaves Real Madrid. The club's president, Florentino Pérez, greatly admires Alonso’s style of play and leadership, viewing him as the ideal figure to guide the club into the future.

Alonso has done an exceptional job managing Bayer Leverkusen, winning both the Bundesliga and the DFB-Pokal without suffering a single defeat throughout the season. These achievements have significantly boosted his reputation as a top-tier manager.

Although several major clubs have shown interest in Alonso, he has publicly announced that he will remain with Leverkusen for the upcoming season. However, reports indicate that Alonso has privately told Florentino Pérez that he is ready to take charge of Real Madrid once Ancelotti steps down.

It is believed that Alonso stated, “I will not leave Leverkusen while Ancelotti is still at Madrid.” This shows the respect he holds for both clubs.

Although Ancelotti has a contract with Real Madrid until 2026, his future will largely depend on the success the team achieves this season. If he leaves before the end of his contract, Alonso will be the club's first choice.

Alonso appears to be the next manager of Real Madrid, with the club’s leadership having full confidence in his abilities and leadership.
